Edmonds Mural Society ends up the mural season with some beautiful artwork | Arts & Culture

The murals are in full bloom here in Edmonds and the mural season is quickly coming to a close. The Edmonds Mural Society has done some fantastic work in our City. Not to worry though, these murals will be up on the Edmonds buildings for years to come!

Manya Vee mentioned, "In keeping with this summer's theme of Hidden Treasures of Edmonds, focusing on the natural beauty of our region, the final two murals both feature our marine and marina."

Vee shared the following information on the final two murals.

• Mural 4 features our underwater marine sanctuary, with divers enjoying the diversity of things to see down below the surface of the waves just off-shore.  It is designed and being painted by Michiko Tanaka.  You can find her working on it at 101 Main street, on the wall of the Waterfront Coffee Shop.
• Mural 5 features a striking image of a boat docked at our marina at night, with a lovely reflection in the water.  This is a collaborative mural, with the original photo taken by Pierce Pronovost, and the painting being accomplished by Sami Sully.  Both are involved in the arts programs at Meadowdale High School.  This mural can be found on the wall at 330 Dayton Street, at the corner of 4th and Dayton.

The Edmonds Mural Society is a community-driven organization, with interested citizens becoming members with a $20 annual donation.  The murals are 100% funded in this way.  If you wish to add your support to the group, you may do so online at , or visit 409 Main Street to do so in person.  More information is available at 425-776-3778.
